NEW YEAR NEW YOU (No thank you!)
Marie Claire Australia|January 2025
We think you're perfectly fine just as you are. But if you'd like to start 2025 on the right foot, we've got the experts to help. From finance to romance, career, sex and fitness -whatever you have in mind for the next 12 months, you'll find the answers here. Take notes
NEW YEAR NEW YOU (No thank you!)

Sick of feeling like you need to overhaul your entire life and personality as soon as the clock strikes 12 on New Year's Eve? Us too.

A well-lived life should be crafted as a series of building blocks, the lessons from each year building on the last. A well-lived life is not built by trying to be something you're not, nor by punishing yourself for not being able to quit your vices - and then feeling guilty when you inevitably cave.

The second Friday in January marks Quitters Day, the date by which most people start reconsidering their New Year's resolutions, and studies show that about 80 per cent of people have given up completely by February.

So this year, we've decided to do away with all these words like "given up", "failed" and "quitter" to instead give ourselves a more positive - and realistic - chance at creating the life we want to live in 2025. It's not about restriction or deprivation, it's the opposite: it's about embracing pleasure, setting achievable (and fun) goals, and prioritising our wants and needs above what we're told we should want and need. New year, same you.

SPICE UP YOUR (SEX) LIFE...WITH CHANTELLE OTTEN

What are your top five tips for a sexy new year?

1. Set a fortnightly intimacy challenge: If you’re in a relationship, spice things up by setting a new challenge each fortnight (26 new things a year!). This could be trying a different position, exploring a new toy, or even experimenting with sensual massage. It keeps things fresh and encourages you both to keep discovering each other’s desires.
