His interpretation of human anatomy, the Vitruvian Man, is considered archetypal of the High Renaissance. In a similar vein, the Octo Finissimo Automatic Sketch is a dissection of watchmaking. Bulgari introduces a timepiece with an illustrated dial, but a dial that is in essence a canvas delineated with the anatomy of a watch. It represents a coalescence of artistry and technology. It is an extraordinary timepiece that combines design purity and cutting-edge watchmaking techniques. The three-hand Automatic timepiece is available in two limited editions: 280 pieces in stainless steel and 70 pieces in 18ct rose gold. The dial is elucidated with micro-rotor, escapement, bridges, rubies, and intricate finishing details by design maestro Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, whose nuanced strokes imprint the timepiece with expressive energy, bound by a 40mm case at 6.4mm tall. The in-house BVL 138 calibre with 60 hours of power reserve forms the nucleus, while the real caseback bears the commemorative phrases "EDIZIONE LIMITATA" and "1884 – 2024".
