Airline's operational levels have jumped from 3% to 60% in a year. This is a very positive sign of recovery. How do you see the recovery pattern?
It is truly encouraging to witness airlines operational levels soaring from 3% to a remarkable 60% within a span of a year. This upward trend signifies a strong trajectory of recovery. As an airline group, we are committed to playing a pivotal role in reinstating our connectivity via Hong Kong as an international aviation hub as quickly as possible.
Currently, we are close to 60% of prepandemic passenger flight capacity levels, covering more than 80 destinations, and we are on track to achieve 70% by the end of this year. Our ultimate goal is to reach 100% by the end of 2024, and we are confident in our ability to get there.
Among the three regions that you look after, which one has witnessed the most significant passenger growth post opening of Hong Kong Borders?
Pent-up demand has been very strong following the border reopening, initially encompassing Hong Kong and subsequently extending tothe Chinese Mainland. These developments have paved the way forthe positive rebuilding of Hong Kong as an international hub. We are diligently focused on expanding our network, catering to the burgeoning customer demand.
Basis resumption of our operations, we have witnessed a healthy demand whether it's India, Middle East, or our most recent resumption of flights to South Africa. We continue to see a strong demand across all our regions, which is also reflected in our forward bookings as well.
As reported, there are some plans to purchase new aircrafts and upgrade the fleet. Do share more details about the number, aircraft types and timelines?
