ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ISN'T ALL DOOM AND GLOOM. WHILE PUNDITS POSIT THAT YOUR JOB IS IN IMMEDIATE DANGER, THE REAL POTENTIAL OF THIS NEW TECH IS ALREADY PLAYING OUT-POSITIVELY-IN OUR DAILY LIVES. HERE IS HOW AI IS RESHAPING YOUR HEALTH, WEALTH AND BEYOND.
"WE'VE ONLY JUST TURNED ON THE COMPUTER," says Daniel Novitzkas, the CEO and co-founder of Specno. This SA start-up is already leveraging Al to decode app and design solutions for clients in record time, but he believes this new tech is still in a veritable Stone Ageat least compared to where we're going. "It's almost like we've just invented the internet with the launch of ChatGPT," he adds.
If you haven't engaged with this powerful chatbot, it has basically retooled the capabilities of AI as part of a conversational model, letting you tap into its full expertise with simple text prompts. For example, it can tackle simple tasks like writing email responses or answering trivia questions. However, it can-with a bit of finesse-write computer code, compile recipes and help you brainstorm your next presentation. (Tons of people are even using the bot to refine their approaches and responses on dating apps.)
While doomsayers are certain our new robot overlords are just years away from replacing every single one of us in the workplace, short-term gains have shown a huge uptick in productivity for the average worker. A series of Stanford University studies found that some employees were able to get 66% more done each day. That's mindboggling if you consider that, yes, we're still in the Stone Age.
Unsurprisingly, millions of users flooded in to trial ChatGPT during its public rollout making it the fastest-growing app in history. Straight out of the gate, the platform's ability to churn out effective, human solutions was uncanny but, "I don't think we're going to be able to fathom what Al is going to allow us to achieve in the next decade," adds Novitzkas.
But what does this all mean for you? Let's dive into the Matrix.
1. WEALTH

If I Want To Hit PBs in the Gym, Do I Need To Give Up Alcohol Entirely?
I've seen a lot of people kick booze for good when they start looking at how it affects their gym performance and asking questions like, 'Did having that bottle of wine with dinner last night affect my bench press PB?' Maybe it's the clear, tangible feedback you get, as soon as you start paying attention, or maybe it's that people feel their gym lives and social lives become incompatible.

Therapy 2.0
Picture the scene: man forms bond with Al therapist. Al therapist coaches man to tragic end. It could be a Black Mirror episode. Only, this isn't pure fiction. Increasingly, worryingly, men are outsourcing their mental health needs to non-sentient Al chatbots. Is this the future of therapy or a step closer to a dystopian future?
