As a vascular surgeon, I've witnessed firsthand the importance of maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle. While indulging in delicious meals is undoubtedly enjoyable, it's crucial to prioritize foods that support cardiovascular health. In this article, I'll share a collection of recipes tailored for the modern man, ranging from grilling techniques to gourmet dishes, designed to fill your stomach while promoting cardiovascular wellness.

Grilled Salmon with Citrus Herb Marinade

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

Juice of 2 lemons

Juice of 1 orange

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, orange juice, minced garlic, olive oil, thyme, salt and pepper to create the marinade.

Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill salmon for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flaky.
