Great thanks be to that Great Mysterium, call it Absolute Consciousness, call it God, Overself, Self, Spirit, the Only Soul or Atma. So thanks be to this Great Essence that must be eternal and indivisible, the only Reality that can never turn out as collective mental fabrication, illusion or phantasy.
But what does this writer thank this only Great One for? For allowing that living life has become simpler for her through the years.
Right now, it feels very simple. But using what she has learned from the "Yoga Sutras" and using logic she must take into account that as long as the material part of hers is still outweighing her spiritual part, this might and will change. Thus, a present wonderful mood may give way again to difficulties, uncertainties and doubts at maybe any other time. Because these negative states are simply the other side in one of the "Pairs of Opposites", i.e. the other side of the present happiness.
Pairs always belong together. And as numberless "Pairs of Opposites" are inherent in all matter, it follows that opposition cannot be avoided in whatever will be going on whenever in life. As far as understood, this must apply to political systems and ideologies with the resulting, and possibly very far-reaching, outer consequences for many just as much as to the inner life, i.e. feelings and thoughts of each and everyone. It may happen within a day, with laughter in the morning and weeping in the evening, or within years when so-called democratic ideas are pushed aside by socalled fascist or purely capitalistic ideas.
