As autumn settles in, the sense of seasons changing can leave many of us feeling that pull to stay at home and nest. While for some, this move away from the summer months brings about a feeling of contentment - hands up who can't think of anything better than cosying up under a blanket at home, with a good book and cup of tea? For others, paired with the worries about the state of the wider world, it can be unsettling and a source of anxiety. Creating your own personal sanctuary - a place of refuge or rest, where you can feel totally at peace - is essential. This could be a physical space, like a quiet corner of the house, or figuratively. A sanctuary is essentially a state of mind, and your most powerful tool.
"Having your own personal sanctuary is key, so you have time to reflect, rest and connect back in with yourself," shares confidence and breathwork coach, Jenna O'Keefe (jennaokeefe.co). "If you are constantly running on stress or spending a lot of time with people without coming back home to yourself, you aren't giving your mind and soul time to catch up."
