Luxury witnesses a novel resurgence within Vita Moderna’s experience centre in Mumbai. Raw, brick finish walls wrap the expansive space in a tactile embrace that encompasses brands like Flexform, Elie Saab Maison, Vittoria Frigerio, Alberta, Luceplan, Delta Light, Oikos and Glamora to name a few.
Illuminated by light gushing in through the windows, pearl-hued European arches inspired by Milan’s Brera district crown their mammoth structure. There is plenty to discover within, the reception laid bare of any hints that may allude to what awaits inside.
A deliberate choice, as Rahul Mistri, Principal Designer at Open Atelier Mumbai explains “We wanted to create a curiosity for a visitor to then enter into the experience centre and get a feel of the entire space.” Once a mill languishing unused for almost a decade, the space is virtually unrecognisable today.
