For architects and interior designers, stone very often informs our designs. While fabrics, paint colours and flooring may change, stone is that rare element that remains timeless. Like an alluring piece of jewellery to an outfit, stone can elevate and accent, making all the difference in the bigger picture.

Natural, quarried stone has the allure of authenticity and uniqueness, with options ranging from marble, granite and travertine to limestone and more. On the other hand, man-made stone, like engineered quartz, offers a diversity of choices and can be more practical - my personal preference is always natural stone. Working with a crosssection of materials, layering them to create balance and dynamism feels like the most natural medium.
