Where to stop, drop and shop in the adventure capital
- Text Camille Khouri
Queenstown

Queenstown has a lot going for it as a shopping destination beyond souvenir shops, outdoor equipment outlets and bungee jumping opportunities. From the high-end designer clothing and modern art galleries lining the lakeside to the independent, local's favourites found slightly further afield, there are temptations galore in the adventure capital.

FRANK'S CORNER 58 CAMP ST

A gift and objet d'art boutique with heart, Frank's Corner is a stalwart of the Whakatipu Basin. From its beginnings as a stand selling merino socks, hats and scarves (the original stand can still be found at local markets or parked at the top of The Mall), Frank's Corner has expanded to include everything from handcrafted pottery, locally made beeswax candles, to cute felt toys, ornaments and artisan jewellery. Both the Queenstown store and their second outlet in Glenorchy are housed within character buildings, making for a true Queenstown experience. frankscorner.co.nz
