BETWEEN THE AUGUSTMAN TEAM, we’ve thrown some crazy parties — New Year’s Eve, National Day work anniversaries, birthdays, the arrival of a new intern. The list goes on. Some of these parties happen inside the office or our own homes, and the post-party cleanup falls onto us.
We’ve embraced it, and don’t even question it. Although some might disagree, we completely believe it is within the purview — nay, responsibility — of men to be fully involved in domestic chores. Along with the climate, this was one area that the generations of men preceding us regretfully, and wrongfully, neglected.
I threw a particularly rambunctious viewing party last month (the images, of course, are for illustrative purposes and neither depict me nor my actual home) for England’s 2-1 semi-final victory over Holland in UEFA EURO 2024. I crashed at three in the morning after a particularly heated debate on Harry Kane’s effectiveness as an out-anout striker, and woke up later at eight in the morning, shirtless, in jeans, a red-and-white England scarf around my face and my house in, to borrow an English slang, omnishambles.
Here’s the kicker, though: my parents were coming to visit in a couple of hours. I needed to tidy up — and I needed to do it fast, and comprehensively. My mom’s attention to detail sometimes borders on the superhuman.
As I have for the past two decades, I turned immediately to Dyson. All I really needed for a quick, effective clean of my house were three products: the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum, the Dyson WashG1 wet floor cleaner and the Dyson Purifier Big+Quiet Formaldehyde.
Get most of the gunk out, even in hard-to-reach places, with the Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum.
