WITH AN APTRONYM like Felix Pantone, there was only ever one choice for the Argentinian a career in art. Now, the well-known artist has applied his contemporary sensibilities onto another canvas, a Zenith timepiece.
It's not their first rodeo together. Pantone has worked on several projects with the watchmaker. In 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Zenith approached the artist and gave him carte blanche to turn the main building of its manufacture into anything he desired. Pantone turned the exterior into a dizzying kaleidoscope of colours reminiscent of digital screens (pictured opposite). No watchmaker had ever done such a thing, and the collaboration made the watch world stand up.
