Nelson Mandela once said, "Together as a nation, we have the obligation to put sunshine into the hearts of our little ones. They are our precious possessions." Breadline Africa is at the forefront of this.
In collaboration with local businesses and initiatives, director Marion Wagner and her team are making a positive impact on the development of children in South Africa. Since 1993, Breadline Africa has been providing infrastructure and running initiatives to support childhood development across the country.
The NPO has provided more than 1300 converted shipping-container and prefabricated facilities to resource-poor communities, impacting the lives of more than 267 000 children.
"We believe that every child has the capacity to do something amazing with their life. When a child's imagination is unlocked, possibilities are opened, allowing them to choose a path for their own future," says Kim Voller, Breadline Africa's communications manager.
