The ENERGY Crisis
Club|March 2023
Life requires endurance through all its ups and downs. How do we plan, prioritise our health, and pace ourselves so that our energy is saved for when we need it most?

The ENERGY Crisis

We lead frantic lives in a fast-paced world of working five days a week (if not more) and chasing non-stop deadlines, all while trying to be functional human beings. That's not all; the world is in the midst of an energy crisis, from the global energy shortage to the scourge of load-shedding (yes, we know, it's a touchy subject).

But there's a more pressing, yet somewhat ignored energy crisis that's plaguing the world. It's the exhaustion every single one of us has experienced. The feeling that makes you say, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe it's only Wednesday." That sigh on a Friday evening, when the work week is finally over, but the weekend is not going to be nearly enough time to recover before Monday comes in full force.

Now, admittedly, conserving energy is near impossible in a demanding society. But, we know of a few ways that will help you feel more alive and energised, ready to tackle any day of the week.

Diet

While it may seem like an obvious way to combat your lack of energy, your diet may be the one thing of which you haven't acknowledged the far-reaching effects. It's true that what you put into your body doesn't just affect your functionality, but that the compounded effects of eating well getting all your essential minerals and vitamins in through a well-balanced diet can lift your general mood and energy levels, and better your quality of life.
