What does a typical working day look like for you?

A big part of my day involves strategising for upcoming events, ensuring that we're always innovating while keeping our team's wellbeing at the forefront.

I also prioritise check-ins with my team to ensure they're happy and thriving. I like to be hands-on, but I also trust my team to bring their creativity to the table.

Any challenges you've found with running a business like this in Singapore?

Balancing sustainability with the fast-paced nature of the catering world is a challenge. However, it's exciting to see clients becoming more conscious of eco-friendly practices.

Singapore's rapidly changing F&B scene also keeps us on our toes - it's a fun challenge to always stay ahead of trends.

Where is your home in Singapore and how long have you lived there?

I've been living in the East Coast area for a few years now. I love being near the sea - it's a peaceful escape. I've come to appreciate the quieter, laid-back vibes of the East.

What are a few things you like to do when you're not working?

I love taking walks around East Coast Park with my rescue dog Kuro. It's a great way to unwind and recharge. One of my favourite things to do is spending quality time with loved ones over a good meal - I'm always on the lookout for new cafés and restaurants to explore. When I'm home, I look forward to home-cooked meals by my husband.

What are you excited about for the next 12 months?

2024 is all about growth for The Plattering Co. We're expanding our offerings and pushing the envelope with experiential catering.
