While the regular iPhones in the past came close to the Pro models, Apple has made a concerted effort to distinguish them further, and the 2023 iterations mark a substantial improvement. The iPhone 15 may be the more affordable option, but it boasts impeccable build quality. Its aluminium body, with rounded edges akin to the Pro models, feels solid and premium.
While the backs are still glass, Apple has integrated the colour directly into the glass, resulting in a somewhat subdued appearance, especially when compared to the richer colours of the previous iPhone 14. Colour choices include Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black, with Blue and Pink being the favourites.
The standout feature in the iPhone 15 is the new display. Although it maintains the OLED technology and offers two size options (6.1 and 6.7 inches), it introduces Dynamic Island, which hides the front-facing cameras in a clever manner. The display has also been enhanced to achieve a maximum typical brightness of 1,000 nits and a dazzling 1,600 nits for HDR content, making photos appear more vivid and vibrant than its predecessor, the iPhone 14.
