Caecilia shared her thoughts on the award’s significance for women in male-dominated fields, emphasising the importance of inspiring more women to pursue their ambitions without being limited by gender stereotypes.
She says: “When I started Youtrip about six years ago, it’s true that there were indeed very few women in the field of finance and technology. Today, I am honoured and excited that we have such a deep bench of very talented, passionate and dedicated women leaders within Youtrip. As a female leader in the traditionally male-dominated tech industry, I am motivated by this award to continue being an inspiration for women.”
Launching an exciting new look
Aside from celebrating these outstanding women, the evening also marked several significant milestones for Her World. At the gala dinner, Her World’s editor-in-chief Elizabeth Lee, introduced the title’s recent revamp, which encompasses all platforms. This includes print, social media and digital, as well as key content pillars – money, career and wellness – for the career-driven woman.
The event also marked the successful conclusion of Her World’s inaugural mentorship programme. This initiative paired 11 mentees with eight accomplished female mentors from diverse fields. Over the course of a six-month programme, mentorship relationships were fostered through various means, including coffee chats, meet-ups, and panel discussions. These interactions provided a platform for mentors and mentees to mutually learn, connect, and share insights and guidance based on their unique journeys.
