Sonos has long dominated the multi-room speaker market, but it’s taken the company longer to get the hang of soundbars. However, it seems to have settled into a nice groove with its range of late, providing a Dolby Atmos upgrade for its second-gen Beam offering (HFC 487), and now releasing a more affordable option in the shape of the Ray.
Available in black or white, it’s more compact than the Beam 2 so it can fit easily inside a TV cabinet or tucked on a shelf below the screen. The Ray houses two tweeters, two mid drivers and a pair of bass ports, although as usual Sonos chooses to keep the specifics to itself.
