There are many methods by which people can positively affect the Earth via their dietary selections, such as backing nearby growers, lessening wasted food, choosing diets based on plants and participating in neighborhood gardens.

Supporting Local and Seasonal Produce: A Sustainable Dining Approach

The main idea for eating sustainably is to buy local and seasonal food. When people choose fruit, vegetables, and other products from farmers close by or local markets, they can decrease the carbon emissions related with transport, help their community's economy grow, and encourage farming that takes care of the environment. Eating with the seasons also brings more diversity to what we eat and helps us feel closer to nature's cycles.
