Rajeev's journey began in 2000 when he graduated with a BBA in Hotel Management from Rourkela, Orissa. Eager to make his mark in the hospitality industry, he followed his father's suggestion to pursue hotel management. Soon, Rajeev realized this was more than a job-it was his calling. "My father advised me to join a hotel management course, and looking back, I feel grateful for that. The hospitality industry has given me a career that I deeply cherish. There's nothing else that would have made me happier," he shares.
After his studies, he dove into the industry, beginning as a trainee supervisor at Majorda Beach Resort, South Goa. This was just the beginning of an expansive career path, which took him across India and even abroad. Rajeev continued to grow in his expertise, exploring new properties to expand his knowledge and experience. He would ultimately take on roles with escalating responsibilities, leading him to his current prestigious position with Fern Hotels and Resorts. Today, Rajeev serves as the Area General Manager, overseeing multiple properties across Goa.
Climbing the Ladder: Rajeev's Career Milestones
Rajeev's role at Fern Hotels began eight years ago, and for the past five years, he has served as the General Manager at Fern Kadamba Hotel & Spa. With a total of six properties and 380 rooms in the Goa region under his management, he leads a team of 400 employees and is responsible for a projected annual turnover of approximately 65 crore. His responsibility isn't only operational; Rajeev has been instrumental in the pre-opening and marketing of these properties across India, ensuring that every aspect meets the highest standards.
