GET YOUR YARD BUZZING WITH BEE-FRIENDLY PLANTS
BEE our guest

Bees, like many pollinating insects, are so important for the ecosystem and with their fat little bodies and hairy little legs, they make the perfect insects to help pollinate our crops and ornamental garden plants. Bees require a few things to succeed – some water (although it needs to be shallow or have landing pads as they drown easily) and as little human interference in the form of chemical sprays and systemic insecticides as possible.

ADD COLOUR

Bees require a food source in the form of nectar from flowering plants, and a range of different types of flowers is best. If you can have a smorgasbord of colour and flower shapes over as long a period as possible, the bees will be fed well and at their happiest.

Introducing climbers to the walls of your garden is great and why not try a passionfruit for a full sun position. The benefit to you is not only the amazing looking flowers but the delicious edible fruit that is pollinated by bees.
