A RARE DISEASE LEAVES THE SINGER DEVASTATED
Céline Dion's TRAGIC DIAGNOSIS

Céline Dion has vowed to sing again, as she faces a life-crippling illness that has already robbed her of her ability to perform, and could one day turn her into a human statue.

The star, 54, has revealed she’s been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome. An incurable neurological disease, it causes muscle rigidity and spasms so strong they can break bones.

“These spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I used to,” Céline explained.

Sufferers can end up wheelchair-bound or bed-ridden, requiring round-the-clock care.
