1 Third time lucky!
Central to the movie is the will-they-or-won’tthey storyline between Hugh and Andie’s characters Charles and Carrie. But Andie’s part originally belonged to another American actress – Jeanne Tripplehorn! After she dropped out, it was offered to Marisa Tomei.
When Andie eventually signed on, she opted to take percentage points over an upfront fee. It was an astute move that ultimately netted her around $4.6 million!
