The past few months have proven to be challenging for Denmark's Queen Mary. And it seems the usually stoic consort was finding it hard to hide the pressure she has felt in her new role at a Swedish state banquet on May 6.
Dressed in full regalia, Mary, 52, was seen looking emotional as she left the gala, which was hosted on a yacht by Sweden's King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia. As Mary disembarked the vessel behind her husband King Frederik, it appeared she discreetly wiped something, perhaps tears, from her eye.
