HANDS TO HEARTS

The unlikely stripped timber space of the Yan Keng Benevolent Dramatic Association of retro furniture and a dusty stage amid a troupe of Chinese opera singers in rehearsal, may not seem like the obvious setting for a shoot. It is a scene almost poetic in symmetry and contrasts given the calibre of personalities piling in to prep for this biggest philanthropy project yet. This is the prelude to The Melium Group's 35th Anniversary Charity Auction in partnership with BurdaLuxury KL; and over hairdryers and makeup, the newly formed charity committee was already abuzz with their respective plans to charge up the auction with their unique offerings. Around them are editors, stylists, photographers, and assistants fielding calls, fixing backdrops, studying screens to create this awareness campaign. No vanity project though, this is really about putting their best faces and great intentions forward whatever it takes to push support for the community, as together they are to raise RM5 million for some 10 charities in Malaysia at the auction night on 28 April, 2024. We welcome the charity committee of The Melium Group's 35th Anniversary Charity Auction in partnership with BurdaLuxury KL, as they share the vision for their altruism.
