It’s been an exciting few years for Spanish golf champion and Rolex Testimonee Jon Rahm. His relationship with Rolex first began in 2016, just as soon as he turned pro and enjoyed an impressive first season, Jon Rahm became the first Spanish golfer to win the US Open in 2021. That same year, he was Europe’s top performer with 3.5 points when playing for the European team in the Ryder Cup.
He has also achieved many other sporting accolades—including having the No. 1 World Amateur Golf ranking for a whopping record 60 weeks and becoming the top-ranked player in the Official World Golf Ranking in July 2020 after winning the Memorial Tournament. Rolex clearly bet on the right player as he has won multiple Major championships since, which bring us to his eighth edition of the Masters Tournament.
What does it mean to you personally to be associated with a brand like Rolex, known for its legacy and commitment to the game?
It is very special to be associated with a brand that has been involved in the game of golf for almost 60 years; starting with their association with the Big Three, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player. It is amazing to be associated with the greats of the game such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and others. They are linked with players that have had a significant impact on the game.
Rolex has become intertwined with the game. It is a true honour to be part of the Rolex Testimonee family; maybe someday someone will associate my name with the greats. I have come a long way since I signed with Rolex; they did not need me, but I needed their support. I remain incredibly grateful they provided me with the chance.
