The National Gallery Singapore is now hosting its first solo exhibition of celebrated Chinese ink and calligraphy maestro Lim Tze Peng, a homegrown legend still actively producing art at 103 years of age.
The recipient of the Cultural Medallion - Singapore's apex arts award - is best known for his expressive ink works and the incorporation of unusual elements like "hu tu zi" (meaning muddled characters in Mandarin) and colour into his calligraphy.
