WIN AT AMAZON PRIME DAY

Amazon Prime Day is the retail annual sales event, during which it cuts the prices of thousands of products. The name is a little bit misleading because in much the same way that Black Friday now happens over more than one day, so does Prime Day: it's now a two-day event. This year, it's actually scheduled for Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July.

Prime Day was created in 2015 because Black Friday was becoming increasingly crowded: with what seems like every retailer on the planet trying to tempt you to spend money on their deals, it's increasingly hard for individual retailers to stand out. So while Amazon is still a very enthusiastic participant in Black Friday, it decided to create its own deals day. Inevitably rival retailers have piled on Prime Day too, but it's still very much an Amazon thing rather than an industry-wide deals frenzy.

You'll need an Amazon Prime subscription if you want to take advantage of any Prime Day deals. If you don't already have one, you can get a 30-day free trial, which also gives you access to Amazon Prime Video and other benefits - but you need to remember to cancel the trial before it automatically turns into a paid subscription on day 31.

WHAT WILL THE BEST PRIME DAY DEALS OF 2022 BE?

We won't know the exact deals Amazon will be offering until Prime Day itself: Amazon only announces a small proportion of its Amazon Prime Day deals in the days running up to the event. But we can make some very confident predictions based on what we've seen over the last seven Prime Days, while at T3.com we'll be working round the clock to track the best deals over the two days.
