There is freedom to be, to do and to dream in the space between black and white. Dior's perfumer-creator, François Demachy, bottles the intensity of that feeling in his latest fragrance, Gris Dior.

A multilayered, complex scent, this fragrance unfurls like a secret with citrus top notes to reveal a chromatic blend of jasmine and bergamot, leaving a lingering sillage of ambery moss.

From thriving entrepreneurs to respected figures in Malaysia's vibrant music and fashion scene, we gather a group of individuals who embody the endless possibility and boundless potential of this fragrance.

Datin Sri Joanne Yew

Actress and founder of Yakiniku Great

"When I was 15, I got my first modelling job without telling my parents. They only found out when they saw me in the newspaper," laughs Joanne Yew. From there, she developed an indefatigable work ethic and strong-willed approach to her career, even as she pivoted into acting and later, entrepreneurship.

She is drawn to the mystery of Gris Dior and its silent challenge to explore new horizons and claim whatever you wish for: "Nothing is absolute in life. That is why you need to live with no regrets and listen to your heart; it may be on your left but it is always right."

Ridduan Ismail

Photographer and creative director of Topboi Citizen

Daring is the only way to describe Ridduan Ismail, aka TTFGA. Throughout his career, he has always dared to push boundaries. "In my early days, I directed an outdoor shoot of 20 models, all of whom I scouted and styled myself on the day," he shares. Since then, he has developed a distinctly edgy photography style, through which he often provides platforms to uplift young Malaysian talents.
