It was first conceptualised in 2018, then put on hold thanks to Covid-and in 2023, Tatler Gen.T finally launched the first Gen.T Summit in Hong Kong.
Taking place on November 9 and 10 last year, the event welcomed an impressive gathering of insightful thinkers from the Gen.T community, as well as other inspiring figures from across the globe.
More than 300 guests came from every region and industry featured on the Gen.T List-from investors and innovators to philanthropists and artists.
The Tatler Gen.T Summit was sponsored by Standard Chartered Private Bank, Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong and MTR Lab, organised in partnership with M+, Regent Hong Kong, Black Sheep Restaurants and Cathay Pacific, and supported by Brand Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and InvestHK.
Cocktails at Grand Majestic Sichuan and dinner at Magistracy Dining Room welcomed over 80 Gen.T Summit guests on the evening of November 8. The following morning, Tamara Lamunière, head of Tatler Ventures and the founder of Tatler Gen.T, kicked off the Summit conference day at Hong Kong's M+ museum of Visual Culture with a stirring speech.
"When we started Gen.T back in 2016, it was part of a larger vision that we had for Tatler-Asia's leading luxury media group-to expand beyond media and beyond lifestyle, and to start playing a much larger role in global conversations, but through the lens of Asia's most influential audiences, and the issues that matter most to them in the case of the Summit: entrepreneurship, innovation and making a positive impact.
