LIFE IN BLOOM
CHARLOTTE PUXLEY
FOUNDER, CHARLOTTE PUXLEY FLOWERS
Singaporeans cannot seem to get enough of Charlotte Puxley’s raw and romantic bouquets. Originally from England, where she was part of the team that arranged Kate Moss’s wedding florals in 2011, Puxley established her eponymous florist studio in Singapore in 2015.
Though she is now continents away, she has maintained the wild aesthetic of the English countryside while, in her words, “embracing our tropical surroundings”. For Puxley, it is not just about putting together a pretty arrangement, but also being inspired by what is available locally and seasonally, embracing nature’s unpredictability and “working through the medium of flowers to craft narratives”, she says.
Here, she shares more about her passion for floristry and what is in bloom for her budding business.
What inspired the decision to source locally grown flowers and establish your own cutting garden?
