With the Tonda PF collection, Parmigiani Fleurier’s CEO Guido Terreni has managed to bring the Sw iss haute horlogerie brand back into the spotlight of collectors in record time. In the same spirit, Parmigiani Fleurier’s Tonda PF Sport has been positioned as a slightly more casual option: Instead of the knurled platinum bezel found on the Tonda PF, its sportier siblings come with a stainless-steel bezel with fewer and thus more pronounced flutes (160 instead of the 225), and the winding crown’s size has also been increased. The grain d’orge hand-guilloché found on the Tonda PF has been replaced with a silver guilloché dial with clou triangulaire pattern, which catches the light with great effect. The applied logo with the brand’s initials is now consistently being used in the 12 o’clock position throughout the Tonda PF, PF Sport, and the newly redesigned Toric collection. As a result, the GT’s previous big date at 12 o’clock had to be replaced with a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock for the Tonda PF Sport Chronograph.
