It’s often due to a build-up of psychological and emotional tiny ‘t’ traumas. Rather than the Big ‘T’ traumas in life, such as abuse, these can be things that wear you down bit by bit – stress at work or keeping the wheels on the family bandwagon. Add to that microaggressions, the pressure to be happy all the time and feeling powerless to change things, and life can feel more about surviving than thriving.
