Ashton spoke to us at FHM about his top tips for businesses to succeed ahead and why being savage as a CEO is what has helped him scale his own - and it doesn't include crypto or real estate!
You have been through a lot in life, but what keeps you going? There are two main things that keep me going. The first thing is my long-term impact. I have a big fear of missed potential and looking back on my life thinking I could have achieved more and helped more people. I’d be haunted by choosing to be comfortable instead of achieving more. The second thing that keeps me going is that I don’t believe you have a choice but to keep going. When you go through hard challenges and hard times, you must ask yourself if this is the thing that breaks you and makes you give up. if it isn’t, then you have to get up and keep moving. There’s no other option but to move forward, and I believe I’m wired to push the limits to get to the next level.
Why is it important to be “savage” when it comes to business dealings and media buying? You can’t get emotional about losing in a campaign, an ad set, or feeling overwhelmed to stop you from making the next decision. in media buying, you’re constantly spending your client’s money. You can’t allow the last loss or failure set you back from making the next decision quickly because clients are counting on you to make decisions consistently.
