Regional Organisations in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), such as MERCOSUR, SICA, The Pacific Alliance and CARICOM, play a crucial role in fostering economic cooperation and trade relations within the region and with the rest of the world.

These communities act as platforms for dialogue, integration, and collective decision-making among member countries. In recent years, these regional blocs have recognized the significance of strengthening trade ties with India, a rapidly growing economic powerhouse.

MERCOSUR and Trade Relations with India

MERCOSUR is a regional economic bloc comprising Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, with Bolivia as an acceding member. This bloc has a significant presence in Latin America’s trade landscape and has shown a growing interest in expanding its economic ties with India.
