ALTHOUGH Birmingham City lost their final game of the season to already-promoted Sheffield United, it was a memorable day for Blues striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.
Why? Because he made his 300th appearance in the famous royal blue shirt.
The 34-year-old, born in Southampton of Polish descent, has been a fixture in Blues’ squad for seven seasons.
After his milestone appearance in the 2-1 home reverse against the Blades, he said: “It’s a tremendously proud moment for me and my family. I have been honoured to represent this club for a few years now and every time I have pulled the shirt on it’s a massive honour for me.
“To do that 300 times - I didn’t anticipate that when I first signed – it is really nice and a special moment for me.”
