DISCOVERING A WELSH WONDER

I'VE not been to Wales lately and it's starting to become an itch. There are some stunning grounds to visit across the Principality, so I feel like I'm missing out somewhat.

When I casually mention this to The Fox, he volunteers to drive us there the very next Saturday! After checking my Grounds-Visited List, we decide on Llandrindod Wells in Mid Wales. 

I double and triple check I haven't been there before penning this Ardal Northeast fixture with Llansantffraid Village in my diary.

Wales is a beautiful place; Mid Wales especially so, However, the roads are appalling, if scenic. There are three or four options of routes to take and each is agonising.

Three hours or so later, The Foxmobile draws up at The Broadway on Lant Avenue on the outskirts of Llandrindod.

We are the first people here apart from the odd dog walker strolling through the site.

There are two places to park at the ground: a higher car park near what must be the clubhouse and a lower area by the side of the pitch next to a shed. Club officials eventually arrive and a guy opens up the shed, which turns out to be the refreshment hut-cum-entrance 'gate'.
