The National North giants have endured a torrid time with off-field issues this season with local businesswoman Michelle Harness taking over a club that was on the brink of collapse and being kicked out of its home in early October.
Predecessor David Hilton's bitter and long-running battle with Peter Swann, the man he took control from and who still owned the ground, threatened the existence of the Iron, a Championship club as recently as 2011.
However, Swann, who took ownership of Glanford Park in exchange for £11 million worth of loans made during his tenure, has struck a deal to sell to a new community interest company (CIC), The New Showground.
