HINSH GETS A SOUR TASTER!

ADAM Hinshelwood's tenure as York City manager got off to the worst possible start as defeat to Wealdstone saw the Minstermen drop into the National League relegation zone.

A first brace for the club from Billy Chadwick handed York a lifeline but Jack Cook's opener and a Max Kretzschmar double ensured the visitors left north Yorkshire with the points.

The final whistle was greeted by boos but Hinshelwood insists he will not be fazed.

"I'm big enough and old enough to take the criticism that is rightly going to come my way, all I do is focus on the players and making sure that they are ready come Tuesday now," he said.

"I thought that in the first half there was some really good positive play but we just couldn't quite find that second goal.

"The timing of us conceding was really denting to our confidence, the timing of it all really.
