10 Gujarat IPS officers to visit poll-bound states

20 companies of SRPF from Gujarat to be deployed in MP, Rajasthan during polls

Ahmedabad: As the assembly polls in five states loom closer, scheduled between November 7 and November 30, Gujarat is stepping up its security game. The state is sending ten IPS officers to serve as police poll observers to these states, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh. These officers, currently holding non-executive positions ranking between SP and DIG, will remain stationed in the assigned states until vote counting concludes.

Insiders revealed that every pollbound state will have two dedicated police poll observers from Gujarat. “Also, 20 companies of State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) from Gujarat will be dispatched to both Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, ensuring safety and transparency until December 3,” said a trusted source.
