25% domestic flights in city to move to int'l terminal

The domestic flights will be shifted to Terminal 2 of the city airport for smoother operations amidst growing passenger traffic

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad is moving about 25% of domestic flights from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 (T-2) to improve operations and handle growing passenger traffic.

The airport currently manages around 250 flights and 35,000 passengers daily. Terminal 1 (T-1) handles most domestic traffic with 220 flights and 28,000 passengers. In contrast, T-2 serves about 5,000-6,000 international passengers with just 30 flights.
