Leading healthcare institutions in Ahmedabad are facing financial challenges due to delayed payments under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) from the Madhya Pradesh government.
While the health department has expedited the approval of PMJAY applications for Khyati Hospital, sources within the health department told Mirror that approximately Rs 25 crore under PMJAY is still pending from Madhya Pradesh.
Government hospitals such as the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute (GCRI) and U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre are also awaiting their dues.
