<p>Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has allocated Rs 2,995 crore for widening of roads in the state with a view to providing smoother, safer, and faster transport service to citizens. To implement this, Patel has directed the Roads and Buildings Department to widen high-traffic roads to improve transport services.</p><p>Under this initiative, 61 roads, covering a total length of 813.75 km, will be widened across the state. Rs 1,646.44 crore has been allocated for making 21 roads, covering 203.41 kms, into four-lanes. To make 15 roads 10-meter wide, covering 221.45 kms, Rs 580.16 crore has been sanctioned. Similarly, Rs 768.72 crore has been sanctioned to make 25 roads, covering 388.89 kms, 7-metre wide.</p>
