Crime branch officials have zeroed in on a South Bopal resident as a conman who allegedly cheated people by pretending to be close to influential people.
The imposter has been identified as Rupesh Doshi, resident of Marigold society in South Bopal. The cops have traced his location to Mumbai and two teams of crime branch have been dispatched to Mumbai.
Crime branch sources said that the fraud came to light after a food inspector in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation lodged a complaint against Doshi, accusing him of fleeing with his money.
