Girls dominate admissions in 15 universities

In what marks a significant shift, more girls than boys have registered for higher education after class 12 in Gujarat's 15 public universities in 2024. This trend is a testament to the growing aspirations of girls for higher education. According to data from the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS), 176,393 students confirmed their admissions to public universities by the end of the second admission round. Of these, 90,369 (51.23%) are girls, and 86,022 (48.76%) are boys.
