The Gujarat police force is currently delving into what can be termed as "A Tale of Two Diaries". While the title may echo Dickens' literary masterpiece, this modern rendition hints at alleged corruption that could T potentially upend careers of several police officers.
The State Monitoring Cell (SMC) had detained Jignesh Soni last year for his alleged involvement in a substantial cricket betting and dabba trading operation at PNTC building in Anandnagar. During the arrest, the police also took Khaitan Patel and Harsh Soni into custody. Items seized from the trio included Rs 1.71 lakh in cash, 8 mobile phones, 3 laptops, a diary, and a writing pad.
Investigations revealed that their cricket betting activities were linked to the ID of Radhe Exchange, an entity allegedly set up by Eric Shah and Raj Patel, believed to be in Dubai.
