Knowing your community is important, especially when the world only identifies them as business-minded individuals who think, breathe, and eat money. But Indian author and editor Salil Tripathi opines otherwise. In his latest book, The Gujaratis - A Portrait of a Community, the author attempts to highlight the not-so-common characteristics of Gujaratis that the world is unaware of.

During his recent visit to Ahmedabad, the Chair of PEN International's Writers in Prison Committee, shared excerpts from the book and spoke about why Gujaratis are the way they are.
