The petition mentioned that the wife's father assassinated his character with a former MLA's help.</p><p>The ex-MLA had written a letter to the government department where the husband was posted, accusing him of an extra-marital affair and seeking an inquiry into it. Additionally, the man was thalassemia minor and had categorically asked the woman about her having any medical condition. However, she denied having thalassemia minor. The man came to know about her condition after the wedding. The Family court had considered these aspects and granted divorce.</p>
