Hybrid ganja worth Rs 1.7 crore seized

Cyber Cell and Customs dept seize ganja packets sent from countries where it is legal

The Customs Department and the Cyber Crime Cell of the city police in a joint operation seized yet another consignment of hybrid Ganja worth Rs1.70 crores which was sent through 37 parcels. The parcels were sent from the UK, Canada, Thailand, and Spain and were seized when they arrived. This is the fourth such case in which parcels sent from foreign countries were seized either by the foreign post office at Shahibaug or by the Customs.

Cyber Crime officials said the parcels were meant to be delivered in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vapi, Navsari and the Union Territories of Diu and Daman.
