'Need to set climate change agenda for the Global South'

Role of educational institutes in climate change policies, skill-set, and manpower

It is important (to include educational institutes) in the case of climate as we are all working on an agenda set by the global North, whether we like it or not. Hence, it is very important for a country like India to take a lead in the Global South because there has only been a reactive agenda and what we need is a proactive agenda.

The proactive agenda will be a combination of producing new knowledge and educating people at the same time. Climate understanding and enacting the same requires the production of knowledge and universities like AU should train people to have a clear understanding of the same. We need to set the agenda for the Global South.
